Canalside living coming soon to Clayton-le-Moors

Work is progressing well at a brand new canalside community coming soon to Clayton-le-Moors in Lancashire.

Bordering the Leeds-Liverpool canal on Whalley Road, Lockside Walk will offer 24 homes for shared ownership and 22 homes for Rent to Buy, helping local people in Hyndburn get a foot on the property ladder.

The homes will be a mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom detached, semi-detached and terraced houses to suit all kinds of home-hunters, from first-time buyers to growing families.

Each stylish home will be built to a superb standard by Salford-based contractor Watson Homes, and will include a variety of superb features for modern day living, including spacious open-plan layouts, contemporary fitted kitchens, modern bathrooms, and allocated off-street parking.

As well as homes for affordable homeownership, a further 28 houses and 53 apartments will be available for affordable rent through Onward Living’s parent organisation, Onward Homes.

Last year, Onward and Watson Homes worked together to deliver 12 homes for shared ownership at another canalside development – Spring Gardens – in nearby Rishton.

Onward Living will be opening the doors to a new show home at Lockside Walk early in the new year, with the first homes for shared ownership being released for sale soon after.
